The company Destamatic has developed a composite made of wood, stone and concrete. It is light, more ecological and insulates sound better than concrete. Of the material, up to 60 percent may consist of wood. This also increases firmness of the material.

The name of the product is Destaclean Puukivi (wood stone) and the company is applying for a patent for it.

Puukivi is manufactured by mixing cement and stones with fine-crushed wood fibre and assorted wood. At the first production phase Destamatic uses existing production lines, which set a limit for the maximun wood proportion in the product to 25 percent.

Puukivi is lighter than concrete, which is why its transporting is cheaper and installing easier than concrete stone.
