’The idea of forest.fi is to provide topical information on forests and the forest sector. Thanks to the re-launch, we are able to give our readers a well-organized coverage of the most important and interesting issues in the sector,’ says Anna Kauppi, Communications Manager at the Finnish Forest Association and in charge of the website.
The website stories are published in Finnish and English. As before, the article topics provide a comprehensive coverage of the forest sector. Innovation activity is given more prominence, with the inclusion of news on wood-based solutions provided by the Uusi Puu – New Wood project.
The merger of forest.fi and Uusi Puu – New Wood is expected to bring in more volume.
’Week after week, stories on the pioneering innovations in the Finnish forest sector prove the most popular content of forest.fi. I’m delighted that New Wood is now on board, offering more information on this aspect,’ Kauppi says.
Tero Karjalainen, Editor-in-Chief of forest.fi, also talks about the advantages of the merger, pointing out that in the web environment, attention generates more attention.
’The more varied our online content is, the more likely it is that even occasional visitors end up reading some of it. Our regular readers will also be pleased with the increased content,’ Karjalainen says.
